Connecticut is a wonderful place to live. We have top rated schools, beautiful natural resources and diverse communities. We are also facing some real challenges regarding affordability. I was proud to vote in support of the largest tax cut in Connecticut's history and pass legislation to alleviate some of the tax burden on retirement income. We continue to support municipalities in identifying ways to expand housing stock and create more affordable options. We must work to create more renewable means of energy generation to offset the expensive reliance on our current providers. We should continue our investment in small businesses and workforce training to better support our economy and ensure good paying jobs are there to meet the needs of working families. As a legislator, I will continue to create and support legislation that directly addresses issues of affordability, so that we can all continue to thrive and enjoy life herein CT.
